Parks & Recreation

The City of Monte Sereno has historically neither developed nor maintained any public park system within its boundaries. Therefore, the City has, in the past, contributed its per capita park funding to the Town of Los Gatos and City of Saratoga.
Saratoga Fees & Reservations
The Saratoga City Council voted to allow residents of Monte Sereno to rent space in city parks at Saratoga residential rates.  For information and reservations call 408-868-1249 or reserve online.
Los Gatos Fees & Reservations
The Town of Los Gatos permits Monte Sereno residents to park free of charge at Oak Meadow Park (ID required). Monte Sereno residents may also rent space at Oak Meadow Park and all town parks through the Los Gatos Public Works Department. Park Reservations can only be made online.

Note: The Vasona recreational area is a County park, and not subject to this program.

Recreation 55 Plus Program


For those 55 and older, the Los Gatos - Saratoga (LGS) Recreation 55 Plus Program wants Monte Serenans to know that they are welcome to take advantage of the wide range of programs available. Volunteers are eager to assist anyone with questions by calling 408-354-1514 or visit the website. Services, programs and activities to get together and enjoy your neighbors include:

  • Hobby and game programs
  • Movies
  • Trips
  • Various exercise
